I don't photograph the fireworks to tell the story of the event, Cannes Pyrotechnics Festival, but to capture what happens inside the light. From shots taken from a distance, with a telephoto lens, abstract visions are born: fragments of sky, explosions of color, trails that become painting. In post-production I work on details, on enlargements, on those shapes that the human eye cannot perceive but photography reveals. The result is no longer a memory of a summer night, but an autonomous work of art, where fire becomes matter, movement becomes gesture and light becomes subject.
